Why Focused.Financial exists

Every founder who has hired finance help off a freelance marketplace knows the roulette: the five-star profile whose reconciliations don't reconcile, the "CFO" who has never sat in a board meeting, the three months of cleanup after the cleanup. And every founder who has gone the traditional agency route knows the other failure mode: weeks of process, opaque pricing, and a bill that pays for the agency's office before it pays for talent.

Focused.Financial was built to be the missing middle: a small, genuinely vetted bench of remote finance professionals — bookkeepers, accountants, controllers, and CFOs — matched to businesses in days, on month-to-month terms, at published rates.

What we believe

• Vetting is the product. Anyone can forward resumes. The value is in the five gates a candidate clears before you ever hear their name.
• Transparent pricing is respect. Rates are published because your time matters and comparison shopping is rational.
• The right rung beats the bigger title. If you need a $60/hr controller and not a $400/hr CFO, we will tell you — the anti-sell is the best marketing we have.
• Remote is a feature. It's how a business in Boise gets a controller who ran the close at a company ten times its size.
